Continuing with the theme of collage, I recently discovered the work of Beth Hoeckel. Her experimentation with scale, layering, concept and contrast result in these beautiful pieces which combine a modern approach to design and art with vintage photographs. I particularly like the multi coloured knitted mountains and the pyramid of cut out silhouettes arranged like an opticians Snellen chart.
