In contrast to Prada's SS11 menswear show, which was a sea of denim, navy and white shorts, shirts and t-shirts, their Pre Ready to Wear SS12 collection is a needed shock to mens fashion. The colour palette is as broad as it is risque; featuring pastel pink and blue, neon green and yellow, bright orange and purple with just hints of white and black. The collection is inspired by the 1950s and sport; the prints feature cartoon-like drawings of surfers, dancers and musicians as well as large scale florals. This collection is more inkeeping with Miuccia's carefree and fun Miu Miu collections, a concept emphasised by the approach to styling.
