C O L O U R P R O J E C T

This week we've been working on a colour project for Liberty. I'm exploring colours I ordinarily avoid, including tones of purple and pastel shades. The palette is inspired by Matisse's 'Still Life with Blue Tablecloth' and Hitchens' 'Large Poppies in a Garden'. These photographs show stacks of colour chips painted with mixed dyes. Documenting the palette in this way is interesting as there is no sense of scale suggested, each of these squares could be anything from 1cm to 1metre square; an idea I'm keen to explore further. Presentations in front of the head of Liberty design are on Monday.
