Weaver Ptolemy Mann is currently showing her work at the Aram Gallery. The exhibition, 'The Architecture of Cloth, Colour and Space,' is an exciting mix of the colourful wall mounted weaves Ptolemy is renowned for as well as partly woven chairs, architectural plans and printed garments. I was particularly intrigued by the wall of photographs documenting the weaving process from making hanks, dyeing, weaving and finally finishing samples. The intense colours work especially well in this minimal, light gallery space.
