Today I presented the final collection of fabric designs for the Monsoon collaborative project I'd been working on with a first year fashion student Soeren Reimers. The designs were printed on silk cotton and silk bamboo to ensure the bold colours tranlated well onto cloth. We initially presented our work to a team from Monsoon then 5 of the 20 groups were asked to present again to the founder of Monsoon, Peter Simon. We were lucky enough to get selected which was a great experience but unfortunately didn't win. Above are a few of the final designs, a board demonstrating pattern combinations within the collection and some of the final illustrations.
