I've recently returned from Paris where I saw Tadashi Kawamata's Tree Huts in Place Vendome. There are 5 of these temporary wooden structures in the square; one wraps around the central column whilst the other 4 can be found on the framing windows on the 19th century buildings which form the square. I particularly like Kawamata's exciting sketches of the installation which capture the energetic appearance of the structures and the seemingly haphazard compositions.
