N A T A S H A D A I N T R Y

Natasha Daintry is a London based ceramicist whose work explores material, colour, composition and space. Among other things, Daintry creates small, delicate tube like vessels which demonstrate her interest in colour. Combining neons with subtle pastel tones the vessels are arranged in wave like formations; from a sea of whites subtle colours begin to appear and begin to gather power, getting brighter and brighter before fading back to colours so gentle they are almost not there. I find Natasha's sketchbooks particularly interesting; citing Morrocan pots, Roni Horn and Piet Mondrian amongst her inspirations it is fascinating to see how her ideas have developed.
